A phone call that changed my life :)

“Don’t you want to Study abroad”? Is the question that changed EVERYTHING. I hesitated with my “YES” answer and honestly speaking I was not thinking clear about it at all but I left it all in God’s hands. It was 2014, I was introduced to Community College Initiative Program CCIP) funded by the Department of State. All I knew was that RAYAC (church organization for young adults in AME) was telling us about it. During that year we attended a workshop, which was explaining more about the program; all the requirements, what is needed etc. But we arrived very late, so I didn’t really get much information. Community College Initiative (CCI) Program is administered by the Community College Consortium. CCI candidates are nominated for participation by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy or the Fulbright Commission in eligible countries.   November 2015, same question “Don’t you want to Study abroad in America”? This time, my answer was totally different to the previ

In a friend I found a soul mate :)

I asked google the meaning of "friendship, sisterhood, friend, soul mate", and it still did not give me the perfect words to describe this girl next to me. Then I tuned to the most reliable book in the Universe, The Holy Bible. I got the perfect scripture in the Old Testament Isaiah 58:11 "Where God guides He Provides". I remember it was in the 90's - 2002 when I used to visit your home every Sunday after church, LITERALLY every Sunday. I guess my mom never liked her home hahaha now I see that her doings have jumped to me. We used to play with your cousins and friends in your neighborhood. I felt like I was a ITUMELENG too hahaha. Years later, we grew apart. I would see you just at church, but I always remembered our good times. Our seperation was not caused by any arguments, but Millicent left a big question mark (LOL). I would always Pray to God, "Please provide me with friends that would understand me, not judge me, friends that I would gr

Roommates Chronicles :)

I went to the United States, Arizona knowing I will be sharing an apartment with three (3) other ladies. I prayed to share a room and a house with people that are fun, cool, social, out-going, like ones that would just get me and vice versa. You know how crazy it is to share a room with just GIRLS, hahahaha so I prayed before that ‘God please intervene, I’m very particular can they just understand my weird vibes and can we click’. I remember it was a Monday morning, first day of “school/orientation week”. I couldn’t stop searching with my eyes to whom I will share a room with. It was also part of a task our Coordinator gave us, so I had already begun first day, hahaha. I knew that I was not going to share a room with Neo, she was from South Africa. We met on facebook few weeks before we went to Arizona, USA. So, I had work to do. It was not easy, because we needed to remember that we are stuck with that person for a year, so I needed to have the “perfect person”. O

God Has Never Failed Me :)

February 10, 2017 (Today Last Year) It was a Thursday morning, woke up around 9/10am. I had a 11-1pm class, Marketing Internship. I took a shower and prepared brunch because I was not in the mood to buy lunch at school or anywhere for that matter. I got dressed and all ready for class. Took a bottle of water and headed to the bus stop. On my way there, I felt a lil weird. I couldn't really tell what was up. It was very hot, I remember the heat.  The bus came and I was on my way to school. It took 10-15 minutes from our apartments to school, provided there is no traffic. I was always 15 minutes early for class, they taught us well about time management. When I arrived in class I just knew, I was not going to concentrate because I was really not feeling well. I couldn't miss class because we were meeting our client whom we were designing a logo and other marketing strategies, so it was an IMPORTANT DAY TO BE IN CLASS THAT DAY. I decided to record the whole session w
